Finding a Word

Knowing that I should say something
So that you know how I feel,
But right now,
The words that I've crafted for so long
Are failing me.
Perhaps it's because
There are no words to describe us.
Friends?
Yeah, we're friends,
But we both know that
There's something more.
Lovers?
No, that sounds far to cheap,
And our relationship has cost too much
Time and feeling to be described that way.
Soulmates?
That word bears too much weight;
After all,
We're only kids.
How can we possibly know
Who we're meant to be with?
Perhaps, I should just stop thinking of vocabulary,
And enjoy the moment,
Because I don't want to let
One second with you pass me by.
